For example, compound 3ca [6.16 (d, J = 1.82 Hz, 1H), 4.85 (d, J = 1.22 Hz, 1H)] exhibited coupling constants (J) data identical to that reported in the literature [Compound 4ca 6.17 (d, J = 1.8 Hz, 1H), 4.86 (d, J = 1.2 Hz, 1H); (J. Org. Chem. 2010, 75, 8716]. Diastereoselectivity (3ca) was also determined by HPLC analysis on chiral Chiralpak columns and the HPLC data was identical to that reported in the literature (4ca, J. Org. Chem. 2010, 75, 8716).
