1. The United Nations Climate Change Conference took place in Cancún, Mexico, from 29 November to 10 December 2010. It encompassed the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP) and the sixth Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP); the 33rd sessions of both the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) and the Subsidiary Body for Scientifc and Technological Advice (SBSTA); the 15th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP); and the 13th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA).
