    • It should be noted that the TOPO-capped Qdot core (3.2 nm) is only slightly smaller than all other Qdot cores (3.4 nm) and that the larger Qdots are more stable than the smaller ones at the air-water interface (less decrease in normalized area; experimental data not shown). The fact that the opposite is observed underlines the significant role of Qdot capping ligands in determining Langmuir monolayer stability.
