25. We calibrate the spectrometer by using light sources with well-known emission spectra such as mercury lines and sodium double-D lines. The accuracy in the calibration of the spectrometer is high enough within the allowed experimental error.
26. N. Since some nonfactors may become indistinguishable from the values of the maxima in the interferogram, we have to check if they actually divide N.
