18. Plant material: the thalli of Dictyota sp. was collected by hand (2 m depth) at the Brusc Lagoon (43°4′28′′ N, 5°47′41′′ E) on the French Mediterranean coasts in July 2007. This alga was identified by Dr. F. Rousseau (Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (MNHN), Paris, France) at the generic level. A voucher specimen (no. PC0124208) has been deposited in the Herbarium of the MNHN.
