Stirrings of agency are visible in many settings in addition to the broad-based organizing. In 2007 the journal PEGS Journal: A Good Society organized a "civic field" meeting focused on agency and the group held an Institute of Civic Studies in the summer of 2009. The statement "The New Civic Politics" and the curriculum are at http://activecitizen.tufts.edu/?pid=710
