    • Synthesis and growth of ZnO nanoparticles
    • 2O solution of 400 mL was slowly added to the Zn-acetate solution under vigorous stirring, followed by addition of the carefully controlled amount of water (7 v%; 56 mL) over 2 h to obtain slightly turbid ethanolic ZnO sol. Hydrothermal reaction of this ZnO sol at 150 °C for 6 h gave us ZnO particles of 200250 nm, which were recovered by washing with ethanol.
