    • The UV and CD spectra were simulated by overlapping Gaussian functions for each transition where the width of the band at 1/ e height is fixed at 0.25 eV and the resulting spectra were scaled to the experimental values. The calculated UV spectrum was shifted to match the absorption band on ∼220 nm (blue-shifted 80 nm), and the same value was used to shift the calculated CD spectra
