The conglomerate behavior of both 1 and 2 was further substantiated by formation of saturated solutions of enantiomerically enriched material (not enantiopure) in contact with solid without racemization catalyst. The mother liquor with eutectic composition was entirely racemic as expected for a conglomerate.
