The quantity γ∼1/ TK is the linear coefficient of specific heat of the quantum dot. The specific heat, C (T), of a quantum dot is difficult to measure, but theoretically it is easily calculated from the free energy (Ref.). The linear coefficient of specific heat, γ, is then obtained via γ= limT→0 C (T) /T.
