Studio su 124 pazienti sottoposti a riparazione della valvola mitralica per insufficienza mitralica funzionale. Quasi il 50% dei pazienti presentava un'insufficienza tricuspidale significativa dopo riparazione della valvola mitrale, con un'incidenza che aumentava nel tempo. La presenza di una dilatazione dell'anulus tricuspidale prima dell'intervento rappresentava un importante predittore di sviluppo successivo di insufficienza tricuspidale significativa.
