4 up to ∼17 T are absent, we cannot assign the origin of the ∼17 T phase transition at this moment.
-
Previously, the magnetoelectric phase diagram of MnWO 4 for H c was reported from electric and structural property measurements (Ref.). It showed a transition at around 4 T at low temperature. However, our optical data do not show any change at ∼ 4 T, again suggesting that the electric property is irrelevant to the ∼ 2.2 eV peak. Because other relevant data on MnWO 4 up to ∼ 17 T are absent, we cannot assign the origin of the ∼ 17 T phase transition at this moment.
