    • Note that the correlation in Eq. , which describes pure dephasing, is the complex conjugate of the correlation function appearing in Eq. . This is due to the fact that in the dephasing description of optically excited quantum dots one assumes a transition from the ground to the excited state, in contrast to phonon-assisted cavity feeding, where the excited state decays into the ground state
