This is a very important article that gives insight into the end-of-life choices in those with ALS. It basically shows that those with ALS who opt for PAS are for the most part not depressed. This along with the work of Rabkin et al. further argues against the idea of MDD being an inevitable psychosocial outcome of ALS.
