    • The amount of a mixture of dodecenes, which was generated from dodecane by dehydrogenation with the iridium complex, was 105% based on the Schwartz reagent employed at the second step. In addition, a hydrozirconation product of the mixture of dodecenes was obtained in 75% yield (based on the Schwartz reagent). These results show that the modest yield of 1-bromododecane is due to the moderate yield at the hydrozirconation step
