Talman's result reads εT =0.0570log rs -0.1324 Ry+ εexch where the exchange contribution is estimated by Talman to be 0.040 Ry at densities of physical interest ( rs ≈ 5 ). Here we have used εexch =0.0484 Ry, the second-order exchange energy from Rayleigh-Schroedinger perturbation theory since this value is known to be accurate for small rs.
