Strengthening the LIC was viewed as being an important step in transitioning from a manual library system to a computerized one. The SPD equipped the center with approximately 32 computers, three printers, three servers, internet access, and modern furniture. It also bought various sets of reference books and trained librarians in order to increase research access for MPs and their staffs
