Neuropathic plantar forefoot ulcers treated with tendon lengthening
-
Describes the role of tendon lengthening in the prevention of recurrence of plantar neuropathic ulcers. At a mean followup of45 months, all except one ulcer healed in fewer than 2 months. Only three recurred, which healed with revision lengthening. A study that provides evidence towards the role of gastrocnemius contracture in altered foot biomechanics.
