    • The melting temperature of BMIMC, as given by the manufacturer, is around 70 °C. Our mesaurements performed with DSC show that the melting temperature is about 55 °C. A detailed investigation of BMIMCl and cellulose-BMIMCl solutions phase transitions is a subject of another study. What we want to emphasize here is that at the lowest temperatures studied BMIMCl is much closer to its solid-liquid phase transition temperature as compared to EMIMAc for which the melting temperature is so low that it have never been reported.
