    • The use of expression (2) established for a monochromatic pump beam, is justified in our case by the following argument: since the pump laser is largely multimode, the expression of Nc can be evaluated by integrating expression (2) over the spectral bandwith of the pump. By doing this we have verified that the shape of the dip (in particular V and iz) is not affected by the pump bandwidth.
