    • Effects of sequential Derma- •• tophagoides pteronyssinus antigen stimulation on anatomy and physiology of the larynx
    • This study describes the oral inhaled allergy provocation method from authors who developed the technique. This study also provides the first description of positive laryngeal changes after oral allergy provocation. However, the viscous laryngeal secretions and vocal fold edema identified could not be definitively attributed to a primary allergic response in the larynx because of a concomitant lower airway response. The study was terminated prematurely because of adverse respiratory events in the first two patients

    • This study of 15 consecutive patients with nonanatomical or neurological voice problems provides preliminary indications for the overdiagnosis of LPR and the lack of specificity of current LPR diagnostic tools. The authors also argue for the possibility that many patients diagnosed with LPR may in fact have allergies as the cause of their dysphonia
