note
-
At room temperature (25 °C), in the desiccator the reduction of RH from 65±5% to 33±5% means the partial pressure of water vapor in air reduces from 2146 to 1039 Pa. This reduction of partial pressure of water is 1% of standard atmospheric pressure (101,235 Pa). If the air cannot leak into the desiccator, the reduction of partial pressure of water does not change the partial pressure of oxygen in the desiccator. Even if the air leaks into the desiccator, the reduction of partial pressure of water only induces 0.2% increase of partial pressure of oxygen.
