    • This is confirmed by an explicit measurement on fullerenes, which evaporate at a temperature and vapor pressure which is comparable to that of the dye molecules investigated here, but which could be detected more effi ciently in laser ionization. The measured velocity distribution was a slightly shifted Boltzmann distribution.
