The interviews were designed with creative tensions in mind. Yet to avoid potential bias, our questions purposefully did not include words such as tension, conflict or contradiction. Rather, informants were told that they were contributing to an exploratory study of how creativity is fostered in the work environment. All interviews were initiated by asking questions covering a broad range of topics, inquiring about current projects, team and client interactions and a typical workday. Informants were encouraged to wander freely in their responses and were probed for examples when possible
