Synthesis of 1, 1R, 3S, -Camphoric acid (40 mg, 0.20 mmol, UO 2(NO3)2-6H2O (100 mg, 0.20 mmol, 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]-octane (DABCO, 22 mg, 0.20 mmol, and demineralized water (2 mL) were placed in a 15 mL tightly closed glass vessel and heated at 180 °C under autogenous pressure, yielding yellow crystals of complex 1 within three days (61 mg, 77% based on the acid, Anal. Crystallographic data were collected at 100(2) K (1) or 150(2) K (2) on a Nonius Kappa-CCD area-detector diffractometer17 and processed with HKL2000.18 Absorption effects were corrected with SCALEPACK. 18 The structures were solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares on F2 with SHELXTL.19 All non-hydrogen atoms were refined with anisotropic displacement parameters. The hydrogen atoms bound to oxygen atoms were not found and the carbon-bound hydrogen atoms were introduced at calculated positions. The drawings were done with ORTEP-3/ POV-Ray20 and Balls & Sticks.21 Crystal data for 1: C120H200O76U8, M, 4763.04, tetragonal, space group I4, a, b, 17.9223(6, c, 33.2705(19) Å3, V, 10686.8(8) Å3 Z, 2.
