    • 2. The prostanoid product is quantified via enzyme immunoassay (EIA) using a broadly specific antibody that binds to all the major prostaglandin compounds using COX Inhibitor Screening Assay (Cayman, MI). Briefly, control value was obtained in the absence of compound. COX-2 enzyme was mixed with different concentration of each tested compound and heme, and incubated for 10 min at 37 °C. The reaction was initiated by adding arachidonic acid and all tubes were incubated for another 2 min at 37 °C. Dup-697 was used as a positive control COX-2 inhibitor.
