    • Unpublished data. The densities of SP/H blends were measured by a pycnometer. The data were used to calculate the densities of the mixed P + H phases according to the simple equation P+H = (1 - wS)/ [(1/pSP/H) - (wS/pS)], where wS is the weight fraction of polystyrene in the sample. The value of the avarage density was found to be pP+H = 1.18 g/cm3, where composition dependence is very weak. The volume fractions of polystyrene, øs, were calculated using the volumes of styrene (VS)and P + Hphase (VP+H) according to the relationship øs= Vs/(Vs + VP+H). See Supporting Information.
