Survival after T cell depleted haplo-identical stem cell transplantation is improved using the mother as donor
-
By analyzing parental stem cell transplant outcome the authors not only confirm that in T cell depleted grafts NK alloimmunity reduces relapse and GVHD, but also that the few remaining T cells in maternal grafts expand and cause a significant improved survival in all probability because of anti-IPA immunity and possibly tolerance.
