    • This study included 54 consecutive patients who underwent elective combined anterior and posterior surgical reconstruction for adult spine deformity with three different techniques. The Luque-Galveston has an unacceptably high rate of pseudarthrosis. Currently, the author recommends either triangulated S1 screws in patients with good bone stock or the addition of iliac screws in others

The Luque-Galveston has an unacceptably high rate of pseudarthrosis. Currently, the author recommends either triangulated S1 screws in patients with good bone stock or the addition of iliac screws in others.
