    • To see this we observe that the requirement of equality of the quantum and the classical distributions is equivalent to the equality of the quantum characteristic function χW (λ, λ) = exp (φ † λ- λ† φ) > = n exp [c n† (un† λ- λ† vn) + c n (vnT λ- λ† un)] > to the classical characteristic function χclassical (λ, λ) = exp (φ† λ- λ† φ) > = n exp [cn† (un† λ- λ† vn) + cn (vnT λ- λ† un)] >. Thus the 2 characteristic functions agree if exp (c n† γ+ c n γ) > = exp (cn γ+ γ cn) > = 2 π exp (-2 |γ| 2).
