    • It is important to note that, because the open access survey was completely confidential, it is impossible to list the respondents by their institution's NCES-ALS highest-degree-granted category. Instead, one is offered a sense of the types of institutions to which respondents belong through self-reporting from open access survey Question 34, which asked respondents to "indicate the highest degree granted by your institution."
