This article describes a major breakthrough for endoscopic reconstruction of cranial base defects following the removal of intracranial lesions. The utilization of the nasoseptal flap provides a hearty, dependent vascular flap to separate the upper airway from the brain. It has provided for a major decrease in the rate of postoperative CSF rhinorrhea.
