    • Cortisol and externalizing behavior in children and adolescents: Mixed meta-analytic evidence for the inverse relation of basal cortisol and cortisol reactivity with externalizing behavior
    • This article represents the first major meta-analytic evaluation of the link between cortisol and externalizing problems in children and adolescents. It consists of two separate meta-analyses - one for studies of basal cortisol (k=72 studies, n=5480) and one for studies cortisol reactivity (k=29 studies, n=2601), conducted between the years 1978 and 2006. In addition to the strength and direction of the cortisol-externalizing association, moderators of this association are also examined
