5 sheets has been simultaneously discovered by another research group. Significantly, both structures are also chemically very similar, with the only differences being the central spacer (between the ether oxygen atoms) of the carboxylate ligand (1,2-dimethylbenzene versus propane) and the metal atoms (Co versus Zn) - both structures have the same bpp co-ligand. However, the geometries of the sheets and the way the adjacent nets interpenetrate each other is quite different.
