This study evaluated the differences between saturation biopsy and biopsy protocols involving less than 12 cores with regard to predicting Gleason score, tumor stage, and detection of insignificant cancers. Saturation biopsy provided better preoperative prediction of Gleason score and tumor stage and did not increase the detection of insignificant cancers
