The resulting gel with a pH value of 4.0 was stirred for 1 h until it was homogeneous, and then heated at 120 °C in a Teflon-lined stainless steel autoclave for five days. 2 was obtained with about 80% yield based on Cd. The presence of the amino acid in reaction systems was critical for the formation of final products. Without the templates, 1 and 2 cannot been obtained.
