Authors have studied the plasma levels of inflammatory mediators that can be produced by adipose tissue (IL-6, adiponectin, resistin, TNFα and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1) in patients with adrenal incidentalomas and a wide spectrum of HPA abnormalities; they are discussed in view of the cardiovascular metabolism.
