The roles and limitations of computed tomography in the preoperative assessment of sinonasal inverted papillomas
-
Although this study was limited by small numbers, the authors used additional diagnostic signs such as lobulation, sclerosis, and bony erosion to determine preoperative inverted papilloma staging using CT. The study found that hyperostosis or a bony strut had a 100% positive predictive value in identifying the attachment of the inverted papillomas.

New staging system for sinonasal inverted papilloma in the endoscopic era
-
This study conducted an extensive literature review of 14 studies and 445 cases of endoscopic inverted papilloma resection. They divided the cases into four groups based on the Krouse [28] staging system and compared their recurrence rates. The study proposes a new three-group staging system in which the previous Krouse [28] categories T1 and T2 are combined.
