Hermano Vianna estimates that there were up to 15,000 dancers per event, held daily from Monday to Sunday. Hermano Vianna, 0 mundo funk carioca (Rio de Janeiro: Zahar, 1988), 21, 26. Frias estimated about 300 conjuntos in Rio, with almost nightly dances ranging in attendance from 5,000 to 15,000 people.
