    • A search of the literature from 1979 to 2008 using key words TiO2, metal oxides, electron stimulated desorption, adsorbed molecules, Knotek-Feibelman, and inter-atomic Auger transition revealed that the electron stimulated desorption of an ion originating from an adsorbed species and initiated by Ti (3p) ionization has not been reported. Over 400 papers were examined.
