30. The LXX division between 1 and 2 Chronicles proved influential. Nonetheless, early Christian scholars, while affirming the unity of the "historical" narratives of the OT, recognized that the LXX division was not original. Athanasius, for example, in his Festal Letter of 367 C.E. (39.4), asserted: "The first and second books Paraleipomena are reckoned as one book" [following Samuel and Kings, Ezra and Nehemiah each of those Athanasius also counted as a single book]
