JUNKER'S seven excavation seasons were published in six preliminary reports. Part of the original documentation was lost during the Second World War, but subsequently the material, as far as possible, was re-studied, in connection with the new excavations in the area between JUNKER'S two larger areas with test pits and more limited trenches. These results are now published in EIWANGER, Merimde-Benisalâme I-III.
