    • 2O. The mixture was frozen in liquid nitrogen, sealed under vacuum and placed in an oven at 130 °C. After heating for 6 days and cool slowly to room temperature, green elongated blocks of compound 1 were isolated from the solution and a suitable crystal was picked out for X-ray determination. The synthesis of compound 2 was similar to that of compound 1 except that nickel sulfate was replaced by ammonium ferrous sulfate. After cooling slowly to room temperature, orange compound 2 was obtained by washing with distilled water to remove excess staring materials.
