    • Jeremy VanDerWal is a spatial ecologist with the Centre for Tropical Biodiversity and Climate Change, James Cook University. His main interests include examination of the processes influencing patterns of occurrence, abundance and persistence of species at differing temporal and spatial scales. Luke P. Shoo is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Tropical Biodiversity and Climate Change, James Cook University. His current work is concerned with the vulnerability of rain forest fauna to contemporary climate change, with an emphasis on the potential for species to survive through ecological plasticity or the use of refugia within the landscape. Stephen E. Williams has a PhD from James Cook University. He is currently the Director of the Centre for Tropical Biodiversity and Climate Change at James Cook University. His main interests are the determinants of patterns and processes associated with biodiversity and the impacts of global climate change. Editor: Pauline Ladiges
