    • note
    • Note, however, that the PCAR technique is not sensitive to the sign of P. According to the LSDA calculations, the spin polarization for the degree of B -site disorder of 12.5% is positive, in contrast to the negative spin polarization for the perfect crystal. This indicates that at some concentration of the B -site defects, the spin polarization may change sign and thus the dependence of P on the degree of disorder may not be monotonic. Note that, while the (linear) extrapolation to a perfect crystal shown here gives higher spin polarization (in excess of 80%), we do not have direct evidence that such behavior will persist all the way to the lower degrees of disorder.
