The temperature dependence of spectral position of lower and upper polariton branches has been measured in the temperature range of 5-120 K. In this range the broadening of the exciton line does not influence the polariton splitting. For details see 10.1103/PhysRevB.58.9656

The Bragg mirror which is passed by the strain wave packet on its way to the QW should result in a ringing of ε (t) at a frequency of about 20 GHz. For a qualitative description of the main experimental results this ringing is not significant and may be ignored.
