    • The mechanism of desorption and ionization of Am-tag on gold microparticles without a matrix is not yet clear. We are currently performing experiments with several kinds of gold microparticles to find an explanation for this phenomenon, based on the assumption that microscopic characteristics of the gold particle surface may account for energy transfer.
