This study shows that amongst T1NOMO gastric MALT lymphomas, those that seem confined to mucosa by EUS staging have a significantly higher chance of complete remission after H. pylori eradication than those that seem to infiltrate the submucosa. These data suggest the importance of careful T staging using higher ultrasound frequencies (12 MHz in this study) in planning the treatment of patients with gastric MALT lymphoma.
