Shop inventories show numerous disassembled and turned chair parts. See, for example, the December 31, 1879, Inventory. In addition to invoices for chairs from the St. Louis Chair Manufactory, notations for k. d., or knock-down, chairs found in the account books and inventories indicate the items were being shipped to Brigham City. For an examination of the range of furniture available through catalogues, see Dubrow and Dubrow, Furniture Made in America.
