    • The reason why attraction in the spin triplet channel is obtained in the case with a deep εf is not very straightforward. As is noted in the text, f-electron spin susceptibility χ s ff(q) is rather q-independent at a large |εf|,21) and it is difficult to predict the symmetry of the possible attractive channel caused by spin fluctuations. If χs ff (q) could be separated into intraband and interband contributions, the intraband component had a maximum at q, 0 as in the noninteracting case and made a dominant contribution to the effective interaction, attractive interaction in the spin triplet channel would be naturally expected. However, in general, the separation cannot be uniquely done in correlated cases. See, for example, M. Nakano: Phys. Rev. B 44 (1991) 10300
